Overview
Desktop is one of the largest internet service providers (ISP) platforms in Brazil and the largest ISP platform in the State of São Paulo (excluding the city of São Paulo), according to data from ANATEL as of May 2021.
We primarily operate in the market of broadband internet services with high-speed fiber optic technology directed to the individual customers.
Our purpose is to bring the best experience of high-speed broadband connectivity to our customers and thereby democratize access to a quality internet, serving both large and small locations.
More than 99% of our customers have internet products, with 93% contracting broadband plans and the rest contracting both broadband and digital TV plans. In addition, almost 95% of our customer base has internet access plans using fiber optic technology.
In May 2021, we already operated more than 16,500 km of proprietary fiber networks, with more than 321,000 active customers in 53 cities in the countryside of the State of São Paulo. We aim at delivering reliable internet services, which are essential for the development of several personal and professional activities that are part of the population’s daily life in the regions we operate.
Those performance indicators show:
- commitment to bring high-speed and quality internet to our customers, given our fiber optic base;
- focus on the residential customer;
- low revenue exposure to products that we believe to be declining, such as digital TV;
- clarity and focus on the segment and geographic region we have chosen to target.
Desktop Timeline
We started our activities in 1997 in the city of Sumaré, State of São Paulo.
From 2013, we began to focus on fiber optic technology, while most of the market was still deploying radio, copper and coaxial cable networks for broadband users.

Desktop Subscriptions Evolution (in thousands)
The chart below shows our growth over the last years. We more than doubled the subscriptions between December 2019 and May 2021.
Recently, this growth has speeded up with our entry into 37 new cities between 2020 and May 2021.
In addition to operating profits, we achieved a compound annual growth rate, or CAGR, of net revenue from services between 2018 and 2020 of 58%.

High Quality Services & Social Responsibility
We understand the importance of our activity for the community. Our goal is to positively impact society by providing high quality and speed internet in an inclusive manner, always bearing in mind the quality of our customers’ service.
We believe that a sustainable business model generates benefits for all stakeholders: customers, suppliers, shareholders and the community in general. We develop Environmental, Social & Governance – ESG initiatives for that purpose. As a recent example, in order to mitigate one of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken responsibility as a connectivity service provider to ensure continued online education by children in need in the region of Limeira and its surroundings.
By: donating our own resources, allocating part of the monthly fees paid by new subscribers and engaging society to contribute with donations, we have raised sufficient funds to purchase computers for hundreds of children, which, combined with our free fiber-to-the-home, or FTTH, internet services, will allow these children to continue their studies, providing them with an opportunity for a better future.
